SupaBackup

SupaBackup is a micro SaaS platform designed to help Supabase users automatically back up their PostgreSQL databases to Google Drive. The platform was built to solve a practical problem for developers, startups, and small teams who use Supabase but need a simple and reliable way to protect their database data without setting up complex backup infrastructure.

The main goal of this project was to create a lightweight, user-friendly backup solution that saves time and reduces risk. Many small teams rely on cloud databases but do not always have a proper backup process in place. SupaBackup makes this easier by allowing users to connect their Supabase project, configure backup preferences, and store database backups securely in their Google Drive.

The platform includes automated backup scheduling, allowing users to choose backup frequency based on their needs. Free users can access basic weekly backup support, while premium users can unlock more frequent backup options such as daily backups. This subscription-based structure makes the product useful for both individual developers and growing teams.

A major focus of SupaBackup was simplicity. The dashboard was designed to keep the backup process clear and easy to manage. Users can understand their backup status, manage connected projects, and monitor backup activity without dealing with complicated technical steps.

Google Drive integration was added to give users a familiar and accessible storage destination for their database backups. This makes it easier for users to access, download, and manage backup files whenever needed. The platform also focuses on secure handling of database connection details and backup operations, which is essential for a product dealing with sensitive data.

This project highlights my ability to build a real-world SaaS product around a specific developer pain point. It demonstrates my skills in building automation workflows, integrating third-party APIs, managing database backup processes, designing subscription-based product features, and creating a clean dashboard for technical users.
